The Garage Lift   Bend-Pak's  HD-Series is perfect for the home-user.   It's a self-standing lift, that is designed for storage and working on your car. There's an optional caster kit that makes this lift truly portable.  Click here for info.

Tips for planning your lift layout:

  • DIMENSIONSCheck the lift specs.  This will tell you exactly where the lift should be located.
  • POWER:  The power unit can be located either on the RIGHT FRONT or the LEFT REAR.
  • FLOOR:  The floor should be a minimum of 4" thick with a 3000 psi rating.  If your pouring a new floor, a little thicker and stronger floor is a good idea.  To test existing floor, drill a 3/4" hole through the floor, measure thickness, hammer in a 3/4" x 5" wedge anchor and tighten to 100 ft/lbs.
  • CEILING:  The ceiling height ideally should be 12'.  If it's less, you can add the height of the cars you're storing plus 6" for the thickness of the runways.  That would give you a minimum height you can work with.
  • LOCATION:  The lift is usually centered on the garage door and centered 12' in from the door.  The columns are 82" tall and the lift is 95" high.
  • DELIVERY:  The lift is shipped as one piece (not assembled) - 160" long, 14" wide, 30" high and weighs 1700 lbs.  It is your responsibility to off-load lift from tail of truck.  If you do not have a piece of equipment at home to do this your other options are:  pick it up at the terminal with a car trailer, get someone with a roll-back (tilt bed), or have it delivered to a business with a fork lift, break it down there and bring it home in pieces.  Click here to see pix of lift on car trailer.
